Remote Wakeup allows the user to turn on systems across the network from a remote location. For example, a network administrator can use Remote Wakeup to perform after-hours maintenance on a system without requiring a technician to be physically present.
Note: This web page is controlled by the Remote Wakeup field in the Ethernet Basic Configuration page. If Remote Wakeup is disabled, this web page is read-only and no configuration change is allowed. If Remote Wakeup is enabled, configuration change is allowed on this web page.
For each parameter, select the corresponding check box to enable it, or clear the check box to disable it.

| Magic packet | When the Magic packet remote wakeup feature is enabled, networked computers that are in a low power state will wake up when they receive the 'magic packet'. |
| Pattern match | When the Pattern match remote wakeup feature is enabled, networked computers that are in a low power state will wake up when they receive a packet that contains a pattern specified by the operating system's network protocol. |
| Link state change | When the Link state change remote wakeup feature is enabled, networked computers that are in a low power state will wake up when a change in the link state occurs - that is, when the ethernet network cable is connected or disconnected. |
| Remote Wakeup from hibernation/Shutdown | When the Remote Wakeup from hibernation/Shutdown feature is enabled, a networked computer can be woken up remotely from hibernate or shutdown. |

| Apply | Apply changes. When you click Apply, the network interface is disabled and then enabled in order for the changes to take place. This might result in error messages from network applications. |
