A virtual LAN (VLAN) is a group of computers that function as if they were connected to the same network segment, even though they may not reside on the same set of physical subnetworks. Conversely, computers that are on different VLANs function as if they are not on the same netowrk segment, even though they might reside on the same physical subnetwork.
Note: This web page is controlled by the 802.1Q (VLAN) field in the Ethernet Basic Configuration page. If 802.1Q (VLAN) is disabled, this web page is read-only and no configuration change is allowed. If 802.1Q (VLAN) is enabled, configuration change is allowed on this web page.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| 802.1Q or VLAN ID | VLAN ID or Number. The VLAN ID is an identifier used by a computer to determine its associated VLAN. ( A value of 0 means VLAN is disabled.)
Note: Microsoft Windows VLAN ID overrides the NVIDIA VLAN ID value. When the Microsoft VLAN is disabled, the NVIDIA VLAN settings will be used. |
